Pat Prescott and I are both Pisces, born two days apart, she on March 10 and I on March 12. Al Jarreau’s birthday was the same day as mine. Pat and I each had the pleasure of interviewing Al about a year before his passing. He had just released his own tribute to lifelong friend and musical companion, the late George Duke, My Old Friend. It went straight to No.1 on Billboard’s jazz chart.
