Sweetly Seductive Saxophonist Paul Taylor
Saxman Paul Taylor plays well with others. While Taylor‘s playing has always been seductive and silky, producing a string of number one smooth jazz hits as a soloist, he takes periodic breaks by working in group settings. He toured with The Rippingtons as a special guest artist in 2000. “The Gentlemen of The Night” tour in 2010, with Marion Meadows, Michael Lington and Warren Hill, was a highlight of the summer festival season. He was a member of the “Groovin’ For Grover” tour with Gerald Albright and Richard Elliot, and this summer is touring with Marion Meadows and Jessy J as “Sax In The City.”
Taylor has long been one of the genre’s most popular recorded and live attractions as a solo artist, with hits like “Ladies’ Choice,” “Burnin'” and “Pleasure Seeker” garnering instant recognition and acclaim from his many fans. His current release “Prime Time” delivers a more R & B-oriented flavor, with songs like “Push To Start” and “Can’t Nobody” emerging as exciting favorites.
Above all, he’s good company and lets us into his creative process in our 30-minute in-depth conversation with music. You can listen by clicking on the player. Visit Paul’s website here.
